I have several "hats" to wear. A lecturer at Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB) in School of Electrical Engineering and Informatics (Sekolah Teknik Elektro dan Informatika). (In some places, a lecturer means a professor.) I teach mainly in information security. In the academics page, there should be a lot of links to papers written by my students. My formal background is PhD in Very Large Scale Integration (VLSI) Integrated Circuit (IC) Design .
My professional field is (generic) Information Technology. I provide various IT consulting with my company. Mostly, of course, in security. I also do quite a number of presentations for various people, organizations, companies, and governments in Indonesia or abroad.
I am a serial technopreneurs. Meaning, I started (too many) technology companies. Some failed, some successful. These days, I mentor many start-ups (in various fields; technology, fashion, food). I write books on "Starting-Up".
I live in Bandung. A great city in Indonesia.
I love playing music (prog/rock) and futsal.
This is the 4th version of Budi Rahardjo's web site.
Version 1.0 was in the very early web year. 1990s? Remember the blink tag? Of course everything was coded by hand. It was hosted at my school (University of Manitoba, Canada). I don't have a backup of version 1.0. So, it is history. (pun intended)
Version 2.0 was much better than the first one. It used a lot of tables. Each page was coded manually. I am still using version 2.0 in some (most?) of my pages. I am in the process of migrating from version 2.0 to version 3.0.
Version 3.0, was generated by a perl-script and CSS to create a consistent layout. The content of each individual page was still coded by hand (by using vi). But the layout was done by a simple.
Version 4.0 is now responsive web.
